Are all Pixar movies secretly connected in one shared universe?
A blogger mapped every Pixar film into a single timeline spanning millions of years - and it actually makes sense.
The answer
In 2013, blogger Jon Negroni published 'The Pixar Theory,' proposing that every Pixar film exists in one shared universe across a vast timeline. The theory's original essay collected over 10 million views. It begins with The Good Dinosaur 65 million years ago, passes through Brave in medieval Scotland - whose witch may be responsible for granting sentience to animals and objects - continues through the modern-day films, and extends into the future with WALL-E's post-apocalyptic Earth, Cars' vehicle civilization, and Monsters Inc.'s monster society. The connective tissue is human emotion, which Negroni argues powers all life in this universe. Pixar has never confirmed or denied the theory but continues planting cross-film Easter eggs like the Pizza Planet truck and A113 references that fuel speculation.
